Music Theory Lessons for Every Level

Music theory provides students with a deeper understanding of how music is created, organized, and interpreted. At Long Lake Music, Donna offers private music theory instruction for all levels of Royal Conservatory of Music Theory, as well as tutoring and preparation for university and college entrance examinations.

With more than 20 years of experience teaching music theory, Donna helps students approach challenging concepts with greater confidence. Her proven teaching strategies make both rudiments and senior theory easier to understand, while lessons are tailored to each student’s individual learning style and goals. Whether a student is completing theory requirements alongside practical music studies, preparing for an examination, or strengthening their knowledge before entering a post-secondary music program, instruction is supportive, thorough, and focused on building a strong foundation.

  • Intermediate Rudiments (formerly Grade 1 Rudiments)
  • Advanced Rudiments (formerly Grade 2 Rudiments)
