A Love of Piano That Inspires Every Lesson

Donna remembers beginning her own piano lessons with great excitement. Her first teacher, Mrs. Lohrenz, provided an exceptional musical education while always teaching with a love of music, a sense of fun, and a genuine joy of teaching. After 12 years of lessons, her influence continues to shape Donna’s approach to teaching today.

Whether a student is sitting at the piano for the first time or is an experienced player looking to advance their skills, lessons are individually tailored to suit their ability, musical interests, learning style, and personal goals. Students may choose to prepare for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams, music festivals and performances, or simply enjoy learning to play the piano for personal enjoyment.

A Welcoming Piano Studio in Nanaimo

Donna teaches from a large, well-equipped home piano studio in Nanaimo, featuring a grand piano, keyboard, and a comfortable waiting area with a CD lending library. The studio provides a relaxed and supportive environment where children, teens, and adults can develop their musical skills and confidence.

Students also have opportunities to perform at recitals held in December and June. These recitals provide a positive way to showcase their progress, celebrate their hard work, and gain valuable performance experience. Each recital is followed by a reception with special treats for the performers, making it an enjoyable celebration for students and their families.
